SEO / WEB-TO-APP

From a search query —
to an app install.

I design a system in which the website captures organic demand, addresses the user's task and takes them to the App Store, Google Play or the right screen of an installed app.

Web-to-App connects SEO, content, the product funnel, ASO and analytics. It addresses the entire user journey, beyond website rankings.

THE SYSTEM

Five transitions that need to work together.

01 / DEMAND

Find the query that precedes the app's name

People seek a way to solve a problem, compare approaches and only then choose a product. We map demand by situation, problem, alternative and geography.

02 / PAGE

Provide a useful answer

We create pages for a specific search context: a tool, calculator, analysis, comparison or landing page, with a clear next step.

03 / TRANSITION

Preserve the user's intent

We connect the web page to the store or the relevant app screen, accounting for platform, country, language and whether the app is already installed.

04 / FIRST EXPERIENCE

Carry the website's promise forward

The store listing, onboarding and first use case should continue the task that brought the person from search.

05 / MEASUREMENT

See beyond clicks

We define measurable stages: organic entry, store click, first launch, registration and a key action. We check attribution capabilities for the chosen stack in advance.

WHEN IT IS USEFUL

Your app needs a channel
beyond the app store.

Demand already exists

Users search for a solution on Google, but the website does not answer the query or sends them to a generic catalogue disconnected from their task.

Multiple countries and languages

You need to understand where demand is real, which pages to localise and how to direct visitors to the right store and local product version.

Content attracts traffic but not installs

Articles are disconnected from the product: there is no journey, relevant CTA or measurement of the transition to app use.

Paid acquisition is getting expensive

You need an organic channel that builds over time, develops search visibility and creates additional entry points.

SCOPE OF WORK

What I design.

Demand research

Geographies, languages, search needs, competing solutions and priority page clusters.

Funnel architecture

The connection between query, page, offer, store, first launch and activation.

Technical requirements

URLs and templates, indexing, localisation, Universal Links or Android App Links, transitions and analytics events.

Experiment plan

Which clusters and pages to launch first, what counts as a signal and when to scale.

What you take away

Depending on the starting point: a demand and landing-page map, a Web-to-App funnel diagram, website and app requirements, a content plan, analytics events and a market rollout plan. We agree on the exact documents, timing and fee after the initial brief.

Technology supports value; it cannot replace it

Smart App Banners and Universal Links from Apple, along with Android App Links keep the user journey connected. They cannot fix weak demand, an irrelevant page or onboarding that fails to deliver on the promise.

What is needed for an estimate

Links to the website and app, target countries and languages, available search traffic and install data, a description of the first valuable product action and team constraints. General information is enough for the initial enquiry; credentials and confidential data are not needed.
