FOR HR, RECRUITERS AND MANAGERSAn expert marketer interview
tailored to your vacancy.
I assess how well the candidate's experience and thinking fit your product, market and growth challenges.
For marketers, growth specialists, Heads of Marketing and CMOs.
WHEN TO INVOLVE METhe candidate sounds convincing.
How do you assess depth?
Without marketing expertise, HR or a manager may struggle to distinguish knowledge of terminology from the ability to tackle a real task.
I join your hiring process: review the vacancy, conduct a professional interview and provide a reasoned assessment.
This also works for comparing several finalists against the same criteria.
IF THE ROLE IS NOT YET DEFINEDFirst, we establish
who you are looking for.
What result is needed? What capabilities does the team already have? What resources will the employee control? Where will they need to act independently?
We use this brief to define the role profile and assessment criteria. The scope of this preparation is agreed separately.

What I assess in the conversation
Business understanding
The customer, value, business model, sales cycle and actual growth constraints.
Decision-making logic
Prioritisation, budget management and the reasoning behind a particular approach.
Working with data
Hypothesis testing, interpretation of results and the link between actions and business economics.
Personal contribution
What the candidate did personally, what the team did, and what their cases demonstrate.
Collaboration
Working with sales, product, contractors and a manager.
Independence
Readiness for the role, support needed and development areas.
WHAT THE CLIENT RECEIVESA report that makes
the decision easier.
- The candidate's fit with the tasks and conditions of the vacancy.
- Strengths illustrated by the interview and supporting materials.
- Limitations and questions that still need checking.
- The level of support needed and potential onboarding priorities.
- A recommended next step and its rationale.
I record the evidence behind each conclusion and what remains unverified. The company retains the hiring decision; an interview does not guarantee the employee's future performance.
How the work proceeds
- The company brief. The vacancy, tasks, business stage, team, resources and role expectations.
- Agreeing on criteria. Assessment scope, participants, timing and fee.
- The interview. A review of experience and situations close to the actual work.
- The report. A written assessment and discussion with the client.
We agree on interview length and report timing beforehand. The fee depends on seniority, the number of candidates and preparation depth. The first 30-minute introductory call is free.
A description of the task is enough initially. Share a candidate's CV and other materials only after obtaining their agreement.
The experience behind the assessment
I have interviewed marketers many times, including while growing my own agency. My experience as a marketing leader and mentor lets me assess candidates through real tasks, responsibilities and team capabilities.

Frequently asked questions about candidate assessment
Which marketing roles are suitable for an expert interview?
For marketing, Growth, Head of Marketing and CMO roles. Criteria depend on the tasks, level of responsibility and company resources.
What does HR or a business leader receive after the interview?
A written assessment of fit for the role, strengths, limitations, questions for further review and the level of support required.
Does an expert assessment replace the hiring decision?
No. The report adds a professional assessment of the candidate's marketing decisions; the final decision remains with the company.
Can several finalists be assessed on the same basis?
Yes. We agree on common criteria and a comparable format beforehand, so candidates are assessed against the same vacancy requirements.
